Instagram export: from Mac to upload (2026)
After export, keep the delivery file intact on its way to Instagram. Transfer the actual file, check the crop and carousel order in the app, and review the published result. A careful transfer avoids an unnecessary extra edit; it does not bypass platform processing.
Transfer the exported file
Use a file-preserving route such as AirDrop or downloading the original file from your storage service. Avoid substituting a screenshot or a preview. If using a messaging app, verify that you are sending the original file rather than a compressed photo option.
Check the sequence before posting
Place the photos in the intended order in Instagram. Preview every crop, especially the first and last frame and any image with text or a product label. Avoid adding another filter unless you intentionally want to change the edit. RevelRaw exports files; you publish them in the destination app.
Compare the file with the result
If the upload looks different, compare it with the exported JPEG on the same device before revising your RAW edit. Check whether you transferred the right file, applied another filter or changed the crop. Display brightness and platform processing can also affect what you see.
Keep a repeatable handoff
