Privacy Policy

RevelRaw ("we", "our", "the app") is a macOS application for RAW photo editing. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

1. Data We Collect

None. RevelRaw does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data, usage analytics, or telemetry. The app does not require an account, login, or registration of any kind.

2. Photos and Files

All photo processing — including RAW decoding, preset application, scene detection, and export — happens entirely on your Mac. Your photos are never uploaded to any server. RevelRaw accesses only the files you explicitly open or drag into the app.

3. Author Profile

RevelRaw allows you to save an author profile (name, website, email, license preference) that is embedded in exported photos as IPTC/EXIF metadata. This profile is stored locally on your Mac using macOS preferences and is never transmitted anywhere.

4. Apple Vision Framework

RevelRaw uses Apple's Vision framework for on-device scene classification to rank presets by relevance. This processing runs entirely on your Mac's hardware. No image data is sent to Apple or any third party for this feature.

5. Network Access

RevelRaw does not require an internet connection and makes no network requests during normal operation. The app functions fully offline.

6. Third-Party Services

RevelRaw does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

7. Data Storage

The only data stored by RevelRaw is:

• Your author profile preferences (locally, via macOS UserDefaults)
• Exported image files (to the location you choose)

You can delete the author profile at any time by clearing the fields in the app's metadata settings.

8. Children's Privacy

RevelRaw does not collect data from anyone, including children. The app is suitable for all ages.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated date. Since RevelRaw collects no data, changes are expected to be minimal.
