About RevelRaw

RevelRaw is a native macOS RAW photo editor for every major camera brand — Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic, Olympus/OM System and more — with the deepest support for Sony Alpha. Drop in a .CR3, a .NEF or an .ARW, and the app decodes it on your Mac, reads the scene with on-device AI, ranks 40+ curated presets to match, and lets you fine-tune, compare and export — without your photograph ever touching the internet.

Who builds it

RevelRaw is made by Daniel Tello, an independent developer and photographer. There is no venture funding and no growth team behind the app — it is funded entirely by the people who buy it, which keeps its incentives simple: make RAW editing on the Mac fast, private and genuinely pleasant, and the business takes care of itself.

That independence shapes the product. RevelRaw has no accounts, no cloud storage and no telemetry, because nothing about its business model needs your data. Apple handles every purchase through the Mac App Store; we never see your name, payment details or photographs.

This website

Alongside the app, revelraw.com publishes practical guides on RAW photography for Mac users: what each RAW format actually contains, how to open and convert files from specific camera bodies, honest editor comparisons, and technique guides for film looks and export settings. Most guides are available in English, Spanish, Japanese, German, French and Portuguese.

The site is also built to be readable by AI assistants: every page has a Markdown mirror (append .md to any URL), and llms.txt is a curated index of the whole site.
